Distressed Birch Hardwood Cabinetry

Custom built for a home renovation, one of this entertainment cabinetry's most apealing features is it's finish. built from birch hardwoods, the cabinets were distressed, then painted. Selected areas of the cabinets are sanded through, and a glaze applied to simulate the wear and patina of age. Beaded backs, raised panel doors, fluted columns, and period moldings were also used. The cabinetry holds a rear projection television, audio-video equipment, and front speakers behind grill cloth doors. Storage is provided in base cabinetry. Open display areas are lighted above the television and equipment areas. The end cabinets have a beveled corner and adjustable shelves for display.
